General Provisions

Applicants:

  1. Applicants for the Hollywood School in Ukraine can be Ukrainian citizens, citizens of foreign states and persons without citizenship, regardless of ancestry, social status and perpetuity, racial and ethnic belonging, sex, attitude to religion or confession, political views, kind and character of their activity, who have a minimum of secondary school educational level.
  2. Tuition at Hollywood School in Ukraine is done through training courses, delivered by leading Hollywood teachers, in the areas of moviemaking as follows:
    •  Producing
    •  Directing
    •  Script Writing
    •  Acting
    •  Cinematography and lighting
    •  Editing
    •  Other
  3. To become a Student at the Hollywood School in Ukraine and receive an opportunity to participate in its training courses, the Applicant shall complete and submit to the School the Application Form in the area of interest (e.g. directing) subject to the Requests for Filling the Application Form (found in the body of the Form) and the Rules of Sending the Application Form (Attachment #1 to Application Form).
  4. Application Forms, filled and sent out in violation of the Requirements for Filling, will not be considered or accepted.
  5. Applicants, willing to become a Student in several different disciplines at the School, should fill out and submit separate Application Forms for each of the interested disciplines, in conformity with the Requirements for Filling out and the Rules of Sending the Application Form .
  6. If, as of the time of the applicant' s submission of the Application Form, there is a subject course, within the School' s announced program, meeting the applicant's interest, the A pplicant should supplement his/her Application Form with a Request for Training in that course, subject to the Rules of Sending it out (found in the body of the Request).
  7. If after an applicant's submission of the Application Form, (save the case when training was refused) there is a course, within School's announced program, meeting the applicant's interest, the Applicant shall supplement his/her Application Form with a Request for Training on that course, pursuant to the Rules of Sending it out.
  8. In the case, the Request for Training has been provided in violation of the Rules of Sending it out, that request shall not be considered or accepted.
  9. The principal criteria for students' selection to the School shall be the applicant's creative potential and ability to communicate it clearly and convincingly through the Application Form.
  10. Consideration and assessment of applicants' Application Forms shall be carried out by the standing Panel of Russian and English-speaking Experts of US movie industry. Final decision on applicant's enrolment to the School as a Student and his/her training on specified School's courses, or School's refusal of a student's enrolment as a Student shall be made by the Head of the Panel.
  11. In the case the Applicant has submitted more than one Application Form to the School, for each different discipline of training, the Panel shall consider each Application Form separately, regardless of applicant's other Application Forms.
  12. The Panel shall consider every Applicant as a candidate for training courses exclusively in the areas of moviemaking (e.g. Directing, Script Writing) specified by the Applicant him/herself, as indicated in the provided Application Form(s).
  13. Successful Applicants, who have passed the competition and have received the Panel's recommendation for enrolment on Regular Students' List, shall be entered on the List of Regular Enrollment. They will be offered the School's training courses, first held within the School, pursuant to their interests and provided requests for training.
  14. Successful Applicants, who have passed the competition, but have not received the Panel's recommendation for enrolment on the Regular Students' Enrollment List, shall be entered on the Reserve Student Enrollment List. They will be offered the School's training courses ( according to Requests for Training provided by such Students) in case of the event that another Student cannot for whatever reason participate in that specific course or in case of additional conduction of such a course.
  15. Applicants, who have not passed the competition in a specified discipline of training at the School, can apply for enrolment in the said subject matter again, but not sooner than one year after their notification of the refusal of training in the specified subject matter.
  16. Terms of making decisions on students' enrolment on the Regular Enrollment List and Reserve Enrollment List or on the refusal in training depend on the starting dates of the relevant courses.
  17. Regarding passing the competition or failing to pass the competition, the Student is notified in writing.

  Students:

  1. The Hollywood School in Ukraine strives to provide the opportunity for both Regular Enrollment and Reserve Enrollment Students to do all subject courses of their interest, held within the School.
  2. In the case Reserve Enroll Students have found themselves in the circumstances, which, in their opinion, can convince the Panel to change their decision and refer them to the Regular Enroll List for the time of new training courses on the curriculum, such Students can submit their Application Documents for the specified discipline again, but not sooner than a year after their notification about enrolment on the Reserve Enroll List.
  3. To apply for a specific course within the School, Students of both Regular and Reserve Enrollment List shall fill out and submit a Request for Training on a training course, pursuant to the Rules of Sending it out (found in the body of the Form).
  4. In the case the Request has been filled and sent out in violation Rules of Sending it out, the Request shall not be considered or accepted.
  5. Consideration of Requests for Training from Students shall be carried out by the Panel of ussian and English-speaking experts of US movie industry.
  6. The principal criteria for students' selection for a new training course shall be confirmation of the student's creative potential and the ability to communicate it clearly and convincingly in the course of studies, also through creating artistic materials, resulting from those studies.
  7. Upon the Panel's decision, a Reserve Enrollment Student can be transferred to the Regular Enrollment List. On the grounds that such a transfer can be made from the teachers' reference and the Panel's assessment of the student's Request for training with the attached materials.
  8. The School students' rights and responsibilities are regulated by the Contract on Training, signed by both sides – The School's authorized officer and Student him/herself.
  9. Upon the successful completion of a course at the Hollywood School, the Student, who has successfully met the terms and conditions of the Contract on Training, is issued a Certificate, signed by the Hollywood School teacher and School's Principal, in the format approved by the course organizer. The said Certificate certifies successful completion of the specified course, organized by the Hollywood School in Ukraine .
