BARRY PRIMUS  is widely renowned as a feature film scriptwriter, producer, director and actor who for nearly 40 years has worked at the forefront of the tv and movie industries in the US.
Over last decade he has been extensively teaching actors, directors and writers all over America.  Barry was one of the first members of the Lincoln Central Repertory company gaining much of his early experience from founder and Oscar winner Elia Kazan who had worked as a director with Hollywood greats such as James Dean, Marlon Brando, and Vivien Leigh.
Barry is also a member of the world famous Lee Strasberg Actors Studio where he is a moderator for the Studios acting courses.

On screen, Barry has appeared in more than 50 films and numerous prime time TV shows. As a director his best know film is 'Mistress', produced with Tribeca Films and starring Robert de Niro.
As an actor, his better known movies are
  • New York, New York, Boxcar Bertha (MartinScorcese),
  • Absence of Malice alongside Paul Newman (Sydney Pollack),
  • Life as a House with Kevin Kline and Hayden Christensen, and Night and the City with Robert de Niro, Jessica Lange and others (Irwin Winkler)
  • His TV roles include parts in LA Law,  Washington behind Closed Doors, The X-Files. These serials are very popular with Ukrainian viewers.

      Barry is currently preparing a feature film project entitled Riverside from his own script. In June 2005 he was awarded  a Jean Dalrymple Award for lifetime achievement.
